SAMPLES:  There are two gorgeous samples ready to view.

Both stamps on the apple card are from A Stamp in the Hand. Check with your stamp store, they usually have a copy of the markers to go with the fruit and vegetable stamps. If you need to know any color combos, I have this.
I first saw this technique demoed last year at the NJ convention. I must have stayed there for a half an hour just watching these talented women make card after card. The way they use stamps to create backgrounds is just amazing. And the look of this on glossy is fantastic.

SUPPLIES:

*Marvy Markers
*glossy white CS
* A Stamp in the Hand pear stamp and background writing stamp. Actually these techniques can be used on any solid stamp - theirs just work so well.
For the pear card, you will need these Marvy markers:
#13 - base color
#15 - leaves
#43 - highlight
#46 or #65 - patches of red
#18 - stem
Here's the additional marker information for the apple card:
Red apples:
#46 or #65 - base color
#4 - leaf and shadow
#18 - stem and shadow
#43 light source.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Here are the directions for how I made the pear card:
You will using your markers directly on your stamp. I colored the leaves first using the #15 marker. Then the stem using #18. Next I color the pear using the base color #13. After you have colored all parts of the stamp, you go back and add shading and highlights. For the shading, I use #18 (brown) on one side of the pear and leaves. For the highlighting I use #43 for a light patch on the pear. Then I add some red patches with#46 (or #65).
Your markers will get the other colors on them. To "clean" your marker, just scribble on some clean paper until the color is true again.
Then go over with your original colors to blend in what you just added.
Now your stamp is all inked up, but you need to reactivate all that color. Huff on your stamp to moisten the ink. It helps if you drink a lot of water, before trying this technique (good for you too).
Then stamp on the glossy paper. Keep on stamping to get your background images. If you huff on the stamp in-between, you will get darker images.
To use the background writing stamp, I mask the main pear image, before stamping. That's it.
I used the same technique to make the apple card. If you have any questions, please ask.
