MOSAIC CLASS
Taught by
Joyce Tripmacker and Katie Popelka
SAMPLES: There are two stunning samples ready to view.

SUPPLIES:
*Assorted stamped papers--background, sturdy decorative paper, wallpaper, card stock, etc.
* 2" wide double-stick tape (Judi-kins has some or carpet tape works fine)
*Muzihiki cords
*Diamond Glaze or clear 3-d Crystal Lacquer
*Clear embossing powders
*Exacto knife and see-thru ruler or a good paper cutter (shredders have been used also)
*Cutting Mat

INSTRUCTIONS:
Katie and I watched Mary Jo McGraw demo this technique at the Stampaway convention a couple years ago.
   1) Cut papers into various widths. Make sure strips have straight edges. They can be triangular instead of rectangle, but it's important the edges are straight so they lie flush against each other.
   2) Cut a 4" section (or whatever size you want your mosaic) of double-stick tape. Lay the tape with the sticky side up on your mat.
   3) Put one strip across the center of the tape. Lay another next to it and work both ways until all the tape is covered. The strips can be laid any way.
4) Turn the tape and mosaic over and trim excess off the edges.
5) Peel backing off and attach to card, tag, etc.
Finishing techniques: Cover mosaic with Diamond Glaze or 3-d Crystal Lacquer (light coat is best) Cover mosaic with clear embossing powder and heat.

If you have any questions, email either me, Joyce or Katie.
