STAMP-N-TELL
GETTING TO KNOW YOU
***JOYCE TRIPMACKER***
1.  Tell us a little about yourself, your family, your job, your home, etc.
I turned 51 this year, although I still think of myself as a young woman.  My 25-year-old daughter keeps me young.  It is getting harder tokeep up with her tho!  My hubby of 26 years keeps my computer, scanner,
printer, etc. running smoothly, as well as setting the time on the vcr.  Such a sweetie!  I work for a tax accountant, so this time of year I work quite a few hours, whereas, the rest of the year about half-time.
Works well as my daughter has summers off since she's a teacher.  One of the nicest things to happen last year is that when we remodeled the kitchen I had all the wall cabinets installed in my stamp room.  Great
storage!
2. How did you first get involved in stamping?
I must blame Katie for this addiction!  One Thanksgiving (a long, long time ago) she brought a box of stamps, paper, ink pads and markers to my house and we had a blast. A week or two later my daughter and I were invited to a D.O.T.S. party and we were impressed with embossing.  Tookme a long time to decide to start investing in stamping supplies.  We embossed over an electric stove burner, used Crayola markers, etc.  Now I can't even think about how much I've invested!
3. What is your favorite technique?
I enjoy making background papers using just about anything--watercolors, watercolor crayons, radiant pearls, Lumiere paints, rainbow pads, reinkers.
4. What is your favorite card you have ever made: one you are the proudest of?
I like them all.  I have lots of cards sitting around on the top of my computer credenza so I can enjoy them.
5. What are your favorite stamp companies and why?
I choose stamps because I like them vs what company they are from.  I find that a lot come from 100 Proof Press (all my Coca-Cola stamps!), Paper Parachute, JudiKins, Stamp Out Cute, Hero Arts, Non Sequitor and
Stampers Anonymous.

6. What are your favorite type images you use in stamping?

My favorite images are of leaves and butterflies.  I also like stained glass stamps.
7. What are your favorite colors?
Absolute favorites are teal, turquoise, aqua.  Also lavender, green, blue, and the fall color pallette.
8. What is one dream you have that you wish could come true?
I actually have two.  The first is that my husband's health would return to normal and the second one is that my father's mental capabilities would return so he and my mother could enjoy their golden years.
9. What is your biggest pet peeve?
Tailgaters.
10. Anything else you would like to share? Like things you collect, thingsthat make you happy, and so on?
I used to make a lot of cross stitch pictures, until I found stamping.  I used to collect Precious Moments, but now I collect tins (candy tins, cracker tins, etc.).
