STAMP-N-TELL
GETTING TO KNOW YOU
***CONNIE DAVIS***
1. Tell us a little about yourself, your family, your job, your home, etc.
Let's see........  I'm grown up, I think, and have a husband (Rick), a daughter (Megan), and a son (Richard), and SOON a grandchild (girl we believe).    My husband and I both work for the California Department of Corrections, he as a correctional officer and I am a secretary (official title is Office Technician).  We live on 4 acres of land, with the kitchen window facing the mountains which are currently covered with snow.    We raise our own eggs (when the darn chickens will lay), and have a dog, a duck, and five (close your eyes Michele) cats.
2. How did you first get involved in stamping?
In February of 1999, I went to a Stamping Up party (isn't that a familiar tune).  I was thrilled when my stamping supplies filled a shoe box.   Oh.... my.... gosh..... uh, does anyone have any extra shoe boxes?
3. What is your favorite technique?
My favorite technique is receiving other people's work.  Oh.... do you mean which technique do I LIKE TO DO?  Ohhhhh..... well, I think most of all I like painting with Radiant Pearls.  I just love the shimmery look and the pretty colors.
4. What is your favorite card you have ever made: one you are the proudest of?
I made my boss a card for his birthday not long after I started stamping.  This was my first attempt at masking, and it turned out really nice..... with a fish jumping out of a pool of water.   He still has it!!!
5. What are your favorite stamp companies and why?
Oh gosh!  I don't really have a favorite stamp company.  I think it depends on my hormone levels at the time I'm looking.
6. What are your favorite type images you use in stamping?
I think I tend towards the floral designs, and not complicated.
7. What are your favorite colors?
YELLOW, YELLOW and YELLOW.
8. What is one dream you have that you wish could come true?
I dream that my children will always be safe, secure, healthy and happy.
9. What is your biggest pet peeve?
Dishonesty.   Of any sort.
10. Anything else you would like to share? Like things you collect, things that make you happy, and so on?
Hmmm..... I collect ancestors........ and Christian books (Max Lucado is my favorite author)....... and cobwebs for my mother-in-law to see when she visits...... and hugs --- I LOVE HUGS (Lorri and Laurel and Michele and Katharine give awesome hugs)!!!
