STAMP-N-TELL
CHALK RESIST CLASS
Taught by
Roberta Shuman
SAMPLES:   There are two gorgeous samples ready to view.

SUPPLIES:

*Embossing tool (just for drying, we are not going to emboss)
*Inexpensive cardstock
*Paper Chalk (I use Pastello colored paper chalk by Prang)
*Bold faced deeply etched stamps are best but play. (for my samples I used the Pear from "A Stamp in the Hand" and Maple Leaf 1 and Lil Maple Leaf 1 from "Fred Mullett")
*Something to apply chalks (Q-tips, tissue, paper towels, foam tip from Colorbox tool set, etc.) I like to use a long tweezer and those small round pom poms that you buy in packages at the craft store.
*Ranger Resist Pad (I think you can also use a clear embossing pad but I have not tried that)
*Spray fixative to seal chalk.

INSTRUCTIONS
Begin by spreading one of more colors of chalk onto your cardstock. I usually use three colors. Blend these colors into each other.
Using the Ranger Resist Ink Pad, or your clear embossing ink pad stamp an image on the colored chalk background. Do not emboss.
Heat set. The image will be almost invisible.
Now the fun. Using whatever tool you like apply chalk to the image. It will appear like magic. Heat set once again to set the color.
On the pear card I added Pearl-Ex to the pears to give them a little shimmer which doesn't show up on the scans.
I spray the cards at this point to make sure everything is set and won't rub off.
That is about it. Hope you could understand my directions and hope you enjoy. This is a simple technique that gives wonderful results. Play and have fun. If you have any questions, please just ask!
